Little Brak River is a resort area of sea, lagoon and river
located along the Garden Route coast. The village is set among
hills bright with winter-flowering aloes.
The river is navigable
for twenty kilometres and teeming with fish, which means there
is excellent boating, fishing and canoeing to be done. Birdlife
is rich and varied, and bird-watching is therefore rewarding.
The local Little Brak beach is safe, uncrowded and offers
surf and rock fishing as well as the chance for whale watching
in winter. Mossel Bay is just 18 kilometers away, with the
Garden Route Casino and many other interesting places to visit,
including the Diaz Museum and Post Office Tree. Surfing and
deep-sea fishing are both recommended. |
